- Current or past experience of working in a UK accountancy practice environment
- Proven experience preparing FRS102 and FRS105 statutory accounts
The Opportunity
We are working with a growing and highly regarded accountancy firm with multiple offices across Scotland. Due to continued growth driven by strong client retention, new business, and acquisitions the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant from Practice to join their Perth Kinross office. The client base includes owner-managed businesses, SMEs, micro-entities, and not-for-profits.
The Role
You will manage a portfolio of clients, delivering a mix of compliance and advisory support, including:
- Preparation of statutory accounts (FRS102 / FRS105)
- Management accounts (monthly/quarterly)
- Corporation tax (CT600, filings)
- VAT returns and submissions
- Client advisory and regular client meetings
- HMRC liaison (queries, payments, registrations)
- Overseeing payroll activity
- Supporting proposals and new business opportunities
You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- Currently working in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience working with owner-managed businesses / SMEs
- Comfortable managing client relationships directly
- Experience with Sage and/or Xero
- Knowledge of the Scottish SME market would be advantageous
