We are now seeking a dedicated, kind, experienced and well educated Deputy Head of HR to join our senior management team at North Star.

Title: Deputy Head of HR Salary: Β£40,000 p. a. plus benefits Location : From Home Reporting to: Head of HR and the Managing Director Role Overview The Deputy Head of HR provides companywide administrative support to the Head of Human Resources, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services across the Company.
The role involves supporting all of the ongoing recruitment processes, maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating HR procedures, and assisting the Head of HR with day-to-day HR operations.
Principal Accountabilities (Responsibilities): HR Administration Maintain and update employee records and HR systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct HR file audits to ensure documentation is complete and compliant with policies and regulations.
Prepare HR correspondence including letters, contracts, and documentation as directed by the Head of HR.
HR Processes and Meetings Arrange and coordinate probation review meetings and annual appraisals.
Take accurate minutes during HR meetings, including disciplinary, grievance, and investigation meetings.
Assist the Head of HR in preparing documentation for hearings and other HR proceedings.
General HR Support Provide administrative support to the Head of HR.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HR policies and employment legislation.
Support HR projects and initiatives as required.
Skills and Experience Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Experience in HR administration or recruitment support is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Problem β solving with the ability to find fair solutions to workplace problems.
Understanding of Ofsted compliance, safeguarding and regulations.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
