Experienced Support Worker (Female*) Required in The Swindon Area, 30 hours per week.
We are looking to recruit an experienced female support worker to join our client's well-established care team. Our client is a 31-year-old young lady who has cerebral palsy and complex needs. She lives in Shrivenham, a village near Swindon, in a beautifully adapted home that contains separate care quarters within the family home.
The support worker will work on a 2:1 basis with our client, delivering bespoke, personalised care to ensure that her health, care and recreational needs are met on a 24-hour basis. The successful applicant will be required to work 30 hours per week.
Applicants must be able to drive a manual gearbox vehicle.
Typical Shift Times:
- Monday to Sunday 22:00 - 10:00
- 15:00 - 22:00
- Flexibility for awake night shifts to finish earlier, at 06:00
Rates of Pay:
- Weekday day shift rate @ £16:00 per hour
- Weekend day shift rate @ £18:50 per hour
- Waking night shift rate @ £18:50 per hour
- Sleep-in night shift rate @ national minimum wage per hour
- Bank holiday times the usual hourly rate of pay
Contracts available:
- Awake night shifts only
- Combination of day, awake and sleep-in shifts
Two excellent references and an enhanced DBS check will be pursued. Regarding a female* support worker to work with the client, gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
