Reports to: Head of Development and Sustainability

Based at: Head office - Hanley, Hub - Winsford and external training venues across Staffordshire and Cheshire

Hours of work: 15 per week (days flexible)

Salary: £29,001 to £30,942 gross per annum Pt 26-28 on NSM pay scale (£11,757 to £12,544 pro rata per annum) - dependent on experience

Job Summary: The postholder will deliver a wide range of high quality internal and external mental health related training to delegates from a variety of different backgrounds, areas and professions. They will work with the Head of Development and Sustainability to develop, plan, deliver and evaluate workshops and materials that enable North Staffs Mind to offer an excellent training package to customers, as well as our own staff, volunteers and stakeholders. The postholder will be based at Head Office, Hanley and our Cheshire Hub, Winsford but will also facilitate training remotely from home, as well as delivering face to face from external venues covering a wide geographical area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver both internal and external training for North Staffs Mind as agreed with the Head of Development and Sustainability
  • Deliver training both remotely and face to face, as required by the commissioning organisation
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate workshops and deliver pre-existing workshops from our current training offer
  • Produce any resources necessary for effective delivery
  • Contribute to the development and creation of new training materials – this could include video or audio recordings for online delivery
  • Ensure all learners present at each session/workshop complete an evaluation form and collate for reporting
  • Report back to the Head of Development and Sustainability as necessary and appropriate following any delivery
  • Report back to the Head of Development and Sustainability and the Head of Services if any safeguarding concerns have arisen during delivery
  • Attend any Train the Trainer events/courses as required by North Staffs Mind
  • Communicate with the Head of Development and Sustainability and administration team to plan, arrange or review training delivery as necessary or appropriate
  • Provide lesson plans and any other relevant resources to any other trainers, paid or volunteer
  • Contribute to the promotion and marketing of North Staffs Mind’s training offer as required

Terms and conditions:

  • You will be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses that are authorised in accordance with North Staffs Mind’s procedures
  • You will receive 5 weeks paid holiday per year (pro rata)
  • Preferred days of working: two days per week to be decided. Occasional evening and weekend work are also required.
