We are seeking a dedicated Civil Enforcement Officer to join our Parking Services team. The Parking Services Team covers enforcement of parking restrictions and Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) offences across the whole of North Somerset district. As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will patrol council car parks and on‑street areas, enforce parking and PSPO offences such as littering, dog fouling, and smoking in children’s play areas, and act as a council ambassador offering assistance and guidance to the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Check vehicles in car parks and on‑street enforcement areas to ensure compliance with parking orders and legislation.
- Issue parking enforcement notices and collect evidence.
- Collect evidence of PSPO offences.
- Maintain and check Pay and Display machines.
- Perform health and safety checks to car parks.
- Assist with local events as required.
- Check Blue Badges.
Work Style
The role falls into the Mobile/Field Worker category, with 0‑1 day in the office, mainly remote, with virtual team connections and portable technology for on‑the‑go work.
Work Hours
Fixed rota: 4 days on, 2 days off, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
