Want to play a key role in keeping North Somerset safe? We\'re looking for motivated individuals to join our busy CCTV Control Room team. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, we monitor more than 200 public space cameras, respond to emergency calls, manage alarm systems, and work closely with partner agencies to protect our communities.

As part of the Safer Communities Team, you\'ll make a real difference in delivering the council\'s commitment to community safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor CCTV control room activities 24/7.
  • Respond to emergency calls and manage alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to safeguard communities.

Requirements

  • Flexible and able to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Confident with IT systems.
  • Excellent communicator with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain full NPPV Level 2 police vetting.
  • Ability to obtain an SIA CCTV Licence (training will be provided).
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent, including English language.

This position is currently based at Weston Town Council Offices, Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare.
