The work is varied and interesting in a supportive environment. In light of COVID, the Local Authority favours a ‘hybrid’ model of working, supporting remote work with possible office-based duties, to be discussed with candidates. The service conducts Mental Health Act assessments and provides professional advice on their appropriateness. Requests come from various sources including AWP, Local Authority staff, and family members. If successful, you will receive induction and training on the information record-keeping systems used within North Somerset Council and AWP. Previous administrative experience is advantageous. You will support the AMHP service’s business functions and be part of an administration team supporting mental health teams within North Somerset, including the recovery team and the Complex Intervention and Treatment Team. Covering for other administrative functions may be required during absences. This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
