The fan base has grown significantly in recent years, averaging over 400 spectators at our Ralph Gardner ground, located in the centre of North Shields, with strong links to the local community.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Job title: Commercial Manager, as a member of the Football Club committee
- Location: North Shields
- Salary: commission on sales, rate to be agreed
- Hours of work: Part-time, flexible to suit the commercial manager’s availability. Attendance at Ralph Gardiner Park on match days during the season (August to April) is preferred, along with monthly committee meetings.
- Reporting to: Chairman, Alan Matthews
JOB PURPOSE
The commercial manager is responsible for maximising the club\’s commercial income through:
- Advertising and sponsorship: match day programmes, pitch-side hoardings, club website, team wear, match sponsorship, and player sponsorship
- Gate income
- Use of facilities: function/meeting rooms, bar, and pitch
MAIN DUTIES
- Maintain and develop relationships with key organisations to maximise sponsorship and advertising revenue.
- Develop and implement community awareness and involvement strategies to increase gate income.
- Engage with press and media to promote games and events.
- Liaise with club officers, including the Head of Media and league commercial officers, to ensure compliance with advertising and sponsorship obligations.
- Develop online sales channels for tickets and merchandise/services.
- Perform other relevant activities as required by the Chairman or the Football Club Committee.
