We are recruiting a Paramedic to join North Sedgemoor Primary Care Network. This is a permanent post that mixes same day acute clinics, home visiting and support for our Enhanced Health in Care Homes service, with regular input to multi disciplinary team meetings. We will appoint at Band 6, Band 7 or Band 8a depending on your current experience, competence and scope of practice. You will join a clinically led and supportive team that values high standards and kindness. We offer funded development that may include First Contact Practitioner training, Masters level study and Independent Prescribing where appropriate. You will work across our practices and care settings in North Symphony (Highbridge & Burnham), Brent, Cheddar and Axbridge, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Main duties of the job:

  • Run same day assessment and treatment clinics within scope of practice
  • Carry out home visits for urgent assessment, planned review and follow up
  • Support Enhanced Health in Care Homes, including ward rounds, soft sign monitoring and care planning
  • Contribute to multi disciplinary meetings by presenting updates, agreeing actions and completing follow up
  • Request appropriate investigations, interpret results within competence and arrange safe next steps
  • Provide clear safety netting and escalation to GPs or advanced practitioners where needed
  • Prescribe if qualified, or work to local directions and protocols
  • Keep accurate, timely records and support coding, audit and service improvement

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
