North Northamptonshire Council – 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Closing date: Friday 12 June 2026.

Location: Hybrid working from the Kettering office.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of health improvement initiatives.
  • Support strategic planning and innovative approaches to public health.
  • Help embed the value of prevention across council services.
  • Work collaboratively with partners across health, social care, voluntary and community sectors.
  • Provide technical and system‑wide expertise within your specialist area (Adult Health Improvement or Children and Young People).

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in public health, health improvement or a related field.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based practice and population health approaches.
  • Strong partnership working and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally.
  • Passion for improving health outcomes and reducing inequalities.
