We’re looking for an experienced, creative and ambitious leader to join our SEND leadership team as Head of Statutory Assessment Service

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and transform our statutory SEND services, ensuring children and young people receive high-quality Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP's) and plans that make a meaningful difference to their lives.

You will oversee all statutory SEND processes, including mediation and Tribunals, while working collaboratively with education, health, care, commissioning, sufficiency planning and parent carer partners to drive the delivery of the SEND Reform Plan.

Working alongside a supportive and forward-thinking leadership team, you’ll lead improvement, champion innovation, ensure that we are legally compliant and help deliver excellent outcomes for children, young people and families across North Northamptonshire.

  • Leading the Statutory Assessment Team to deliver a high-quality, legally compliant service.
  • Driving service improvement and embracing innovative ways of working.
  • Working collaboratively with schools, families, children and young people, health, care partners and wider stakeholders
  • Using data and performance information to improve timeliness, quality and outcomes.
  • Supporting the delivery of our ambitious SEND Reform Programme.

You’ll be an inspiring leader with significant experience of SEND statutory processes and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.

You’ll enjoy leading change, developing high-performing teams and building positive relationships with partners.
