This full-time Administrator role is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dynamic team dedicated to supporting the work of Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP). Our mission statement is for the children and young people of Northamptonshire to be as safe as they can from harm, exploitation and neglect. The work is very varied from working with a range of stakeholders to support meetings by collating papers and taking minutes, to assist in developing reports and data and supporting the Business Manager.

What will you be doing?

  • To provide administrative, secretarial and clerical support to the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP), and their Subgroups, under the direction of the NSCP Business Manager.
  • To provide administrative and secretarial support to the NSCP Business Manager.
  • Be a point of contact and ensure that there are effective office systems and processes so that staff can deliver an effective service.

Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, you will need to be methodical in your approach to work, be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, work under your own initiative but also be a team player. Significant experience in administrative work with proven knowledge of setting up systems, minute taking complex meetings, and providing secretarial support. Good keyboard skills including knowledge of MS Windows including Word, Excel and similar software. Experience of managing complex diary and meeting schedules for a number of groups and a large number of individuals. An understanding of confidentiality and data protection, and secure filing systems in particular, information of a sensitive nature and with a high emotional content.
