This is your chance to join North Northamptonshire Council\’s Housing Management Service at a time of real change and investment. We are reshaping our services to be more visible, proactive and closer to tenants – and our Housing Tenancy Support Officers are a vital part of this transformation. As a Housing Tenancy Support Officer, you\’ll work directly with tenants who need extra help, providing guidance, practical support and links to other services. You will be part of a service that is: visible and connected, supportive and responsive, engaged and accountable, and cleaner and safer.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with tenants who need extra support.
  • Assess needs and put tailored support plans in place.
  • Help tenants with budgeting, benefits and financial advice to reduce arrears and prevent crisis.
  • Work closely with support services, health professionals and community organisations to link tenants to the right help.
  • Support vulnerable tenants, including those facing domestic abuse, safeguarding issues or mental health challenges.
  • Help tenants understand their rights and responsibilities, and tackle issues before they escalate.
  • Promote independence, resilience and community connections.
