About the role
We are looking for a committed and experienced Housing Advice and Options Manager to lead our housing advice and options service across North Northamptonshire.
This is a key leadership role within our Housing Solutions Service, responsible for delivering high-quality services that support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will play a vital role in shaping and improving housing outcomes for some of our most vulnerable residents.
What will you be doing?
- Leading the delivery of a responsive and effective housing advice and options service.
- Ensuring the Council meets its statutory duties under homelessness legislation.
- Managing a team of officers and overseeing performance, budgets, and service development.
- Driving forward the Council\’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
- Building strong partnerships with internal teams and external agencies.
- Using data and insight to improve service delivery and outcomes.
About you
- You will have a degree or relevant housing qualification (CIH membership desirable).
- Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and housing services.
- Proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and service performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to partnership working and continuous improvement.
- You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
- This role includes participation in the Housing Service\’s out-of-hours on-call rota.
- This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
