About The Role

The Business Analyst team are inviting colleagues interested in pursuing a career in Business Analysis to submit expressions of interest for a 6-month secondment into the team to support with ongoing and emerging work across North Northamptonshire Council. This is your chance to develop your skills, expand your experience, and make a real impact on how we deliver services to residents. You’ll join a supportive team working on a wide variety of projects and tasks engaging with multiple service areas at any one time. What will you be doing?

  • Shape Change: Help bridge the gap between different service areas and our enabling functions by facilitating workshops, mapping processes, and assisting with testing and data migration.
  • Drive Improvements: Identify opportunities to make services more efficient and effective.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure project objectives are understood and delivered.
  • Analyse and Document: Capture and document business needs for a variety of different system implementations.
  • Support Delivery: Assist throughout the project lifecycle, from assessing options and business case support through to implementation and testing.

About You

What We’re Looking For: You don’t need to be an expert yet—but you should bring:

  • An enthusiasm to learn and develop yourself.
  • An understanding of service delivery and the different remits of the variety of teams at NNC.
  • Skills in identifying and understanding stakeholder needs.
  • Experience of documenting and analysing processes for improvement.
  • Strong communication skills—you can explain complex issues clearly.
  • Confidence in working with a variety of stakeholders.
