About the role

Family Hubs Cluster Manager (East Northants & Wellingborough)

North Northamptonshire Council are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for the role of Family Hub Cluster Manager. This key position will help us drive our Family Hubs and Start for Life programme supporting families from conception to age 19 (or 25 with SEND).

Family Hubs provide families with access to essential services, including education, mental health, physical health, with Start for Life at its core, offering critical support to children, young people, and parents. In this role, you will ensure that early support is delivered at the right time, in the right place by the right person across a collaborative network of partners.

It\’s an exciting time to join as we begin to develop and deliver against the year 4 delivery plan to create a network of provision consisting of services based in local venues that are familiar and accessible to families, outreach services to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children, young people and families alongside our digital offer that is access

What will you be doing?

Leading the Family Hub Cluster team, you will manage and deliver early help services to improve outcomes for children, while reducing the demand for statutory services, overseeing an integrated Family Hub model working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders. You will be building on existing partnerships and developing new service delivery arrangements to ensure a whole-family approach is adopted in assessment, planning, and intervention.

The Family Hub Cluster covers Wellingborough & East Northants with regular travel between cluster sites required, so a driving license and access to transport will be essential to the role.

About you

Experience working with children, young people, and families in community settings to drive sustainable change is essential, along with a proven track record in developing and managing similar services. You should be solution-focused, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a positive attitude towards challenges. Strong organisational skills, familiarity with the Family Hubs agenda, and a drive to improve outcomes for children and families through an integrated approach are key.

You\’ll need experience collaborating across sectors, managing and developing teams, and implementing new services creatively. Attention to detail and the ability to support and challenge staff to deliver quality, safe services are crucial. While Family Hub experience is advantageous, your ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and stakeholders in similar settings is what matters most
