Do you take pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming spaces for others? As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of Council buildings by ensuring offices, communal areas and facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail and is committed to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across Council facilities.

What will you be doing?

  • Your duties will include sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, emptying bins and using cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • You will monitor cleaning supplies, maintain stock records and report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to the Facilities or Cleaning Supervisor.
  • Working as part of a team, you will follow established cleaning procedures and health and safety requirements, ensuring the safety of building users while carrying out your duties.
  • You will also help maintain the security of the building when on duty, provide cover for colleagues when required and support the Cleaning Supervisor with additional tasks to ensure service standards are maintained.
