About The Role We are looking for an innovative and forward thinking Corporate Programme and Project Manager to support our Programme and Project Management team, on an 18-month fixed term contract. Our project team is responsible for supporting the Council\’s leadership to deliver a more efficient and effective service through the provision of expert advice and guidance in relation to programme and project management. Working as part of a pro-active team, you will support senior managers with the delivery of key projects across the Council and wider district. By matrix managing cross-service, multi-disciplinary teams and advising on project management approaches, you will help ensure priority projects are delivered to an exemplary standard and deadlines are reached. Being responsible for the Council’s programme and project management toolkit, you will take an innovative and pro-active approach to ensuring this is updated regularly to include the most up to date techniques and in turn coaching projects leads in how to apply these techniques to achieve the best outcomes . About You To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing the management of large scale projects using formal project management methodology. You will possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure their full involvement and commitment is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project. As a strategic thinker you will have the ability to adapt quickly to change, encourage, and influence others to so positively in order to continue to reach project goals. In addition, you will be able to apply your excellent analytical skills to interpret financial information and have the ability to quickly grasp technical subjects relating to a project that sits outside your areas of expertise.
