Provide care within the preterm birth service, adhering to Trust Guidelines and national standards. Ensure appropriate delivery of the preterm birth service to high-risk patient cohorts. Liaise regularly with multi-agency stakeholders to improve service quality and develop pathways. Take responsibility for KEY performance Indicators and report writing to demonstrate compliance with care quality indicators. Participate in education and training related to preterm birth. Lead or participate in relevant research trials. Lead audits pertinent to the service. Develop personal management and leadership skills. Main duties of the job Promote continuity of care for women at high risk of preterm birth. Ensure evidence-based, monitored, and evaluated care. Implement and monitor compliance with Saving Babies\’ Lives Care Bundle No. 5 – Reducing Preterm Birth. Triages referrals to appropriate care pathways. Review and ensure the existing provision of the preterm birth service is equitable, evidence-based, and aligns with policies. Provide clinical and professional leadership. Embed clinical governance in practice. Disseminate information and share good practices. Maintain and develop clinical skills. Devise and disseminate standards, guidelines, and policies for preterm birth. Create tools for assessing and auditing service efficiency and quality standards. Deliver local training and education programs. Utilize IT systems for accurate patient data reporting. Serve as a contact point for patients.
