Quality Governance is a key quality function within the organisation which is led by the Chief Nurse. The department is led by the Associate Director of Quality Governance & Patient Experience with support from the Head of Quality Governance. This post will support the Quality and Governance team and clinical divisions to embed sound clinical governance systems and processes to improve safety and learning across the organisation.

In collaboration with the Head of Quality & Governance and Patient Safety Facilitator, you will provide administrative support across key aspects of the quality governance agenda, and wider administrative support to the corporate quality governance team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic candidate with attention to detail to the role of Quality Governance Team Administrator. They will be required to give a high level of administrative support to the Quality and Governance team and clinical divisions.

For this role, you will undertake a 22-month development programme in Business Administration within the Quality Governance Team through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Successfully completing the training programme will lead to an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3. This position is on a fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become permanent once the qualification is successfully completed.

Please be advised if you already hold a relevant qualification in this area at this level or higher (in Business Administration or Business Management) you are not eligible to apply for this role. Candidates for an apprenticeship will need to provide certificates of their English and Maths qualifications and to have been resident for at least 3 years in the UK at the start of the apprenticeship.

The post holder is responsible for providing support to the corporate quality governance team, including:

  • Planning and scheduling key quality governance meetings
  • Minute taking
  • Preparing presentations and summaries for the purposes of learning and assurance
  • Liaising with external stakeholders in a professional manner, addressing queries as appropriate and/or directing the query to the relevant team member
  • Obtaining, entering and analysing data relating to Quality Governance as directed
  • Taking a proactive approach to ensuring tasks and projects are completed within the specified timeframes, ensuring timely escalation
  • Providing general advice and support for matters relating to Quality Governance systems and processes
