This is an exciting opportunity for a building professional to join DNCG's Estates and Facilities team on a temporary basis. The role will provide pivotal leadership, support, and development of the department. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of DNCG's property strategy to provide an outstanding and inspirational environment that creates a high-performing culture and improves staff and learner experiences across all campuses. DNCG's estate consists of a mixture of modern, ageing, and listed buildings across South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the DN Colleges Group.
  • Manage an extensive building portfolio effectively, providing exceptional service to all customers.
  • Support the Director in developing and delivering DNCG's property strategy.
  • Develop and deliver a long-term maintenance plan.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is scheduled on time and reviewed annually.
  • Conduct annual building condition assessments.
  • Effectively manage capital projects.
  • Ensure all maintenance jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct planned site visits to ensure standards are upheld across all campuses.
  • Manage the approval and appointment of all contractors.
  • Manage hard and soft data such as emails and document files, ensuring they are updated and correctly stored.
  • Problem-solve any issues or complaints that have occurred.
  • Effectively manage budgets and other financial aspects.
  • Ensure correct application of legislation.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, students, and members of the public.

Who Are We Looking For:

  • Significant experience within management, ideally estate management experience, but property or surveying is also considered.
  • Experience of building maintenance management and works planning (Helpdesk).
  • Experience using AutoCAD and NEBOSH/IOSH.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Problem solver.
  • Strong IT skills, experience of working with an Estates helpdesk package.
