The vacancy DN Colleges Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Disability Adviser to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential advice and support to higher education students with disabilities, helping them access the support they need to succeed. We have a Scunthorpe based vacancy, and a Doncaster based vacancy. Please confirm in your application which location you're applying for. Day to Day Responsibilities: Serve as the main contact for HE students who declare a disability. Assist students in applying for Disabled Students Allowance and arranging needs assessments. Develop and share support plans and reasonable adjustments with relevant staff. Signpost students to internal support services and provide advice on relevant policies and procedures. Maintain accurate data on DSA and participate in regular monitoring and planning meetings. Complete all relevant administration and proactively engage in professional development.Essential Criteria: Good written and oral communication skills at GCSE level. Relevant Level 4 qualification. Experience working with students with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities. Knowledge of the impact of disability in the learning environment and relevant legislation. Ability to work effectively with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds.
