Two personal care assistants are required to support a young female who requires assistance accessing the community. She has Autism, ADHD, PDA, and conduct disorder, and requires support in a 2:1 capacity.
The successful candidates should be bubbly and energetic, able to manage challenging behaviours and maintain boundaries, be clear in communication, and be understanding. It is important that the candidates are comfortable with physical activity as the client’s daughter is very energetic.
She can engage in self-injurious behaviours due to difficulties managing emotions and communication, so the candidates should be supportive of her development and be patient. She is a fun and caring individual who wants to make friends and enjoy a social life.
The client’s daughter has a particular interest in horses and loves horse riding, as well as spending time around animals and enjoying the farm environment. She also enjoys swimming, walking, and shopping (during quieter periods).
The role is 6 hours per week during term time and 9 hours per week during half term, paid at £13.71 per hour. The hours will be worked outside of school hours, specifics to be negotiated with the employer upon appointment. A driver is essential.
Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which will be funded by us.
