Our client is looking for a personal assistant for their daughter, who requires support accessing the community and recreational activities – inside and outside the home. Our client's daughter is nonverbal and has learning difficulties, as well as living with Autism, Global Development Delay and Epilepsy.
Due to the provision of intimate care, our client has the right to request a carer of a specific sex. This vacancy is restricted for women only. The successful candidate should be energetic, creative, patient, open-minded and alert.
Our client's daughter loves water-related activities such as swimming, being outdoors and watching Peppa Pig. It is important that the successful candidate is confident and strong enough to support our client's daughter through challenging behaviour as she is very strong and uses her body to express herself. It is also imperative for the successful candidate to focus on safety and use a harness outside of the home.
As part of her Epilepsy, our client's daughter experiences vacant seizures, which should be managed with patience. The role is 3 hours per week term time, and 6 hours per week during school holidays, paid at £. The hours are to be worked outside of school hours and can be agreed with our client. The role is based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
Experience is essential, though full training will be provided. Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund. If you would like to apply please email a copy of your CV to and quote the reference 002.
