North Lincolnshire Council's Education Standards and Early Years Team is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and committed Lead Officer for School Improvement to support our vision of enabling all children and young people to thrive and achieve their full potential in their home, school and community.
This role is central to the Council's priorities for raising standards, improving outcomes, promoting inclusion, and reducing inequality across schools and early years settings. The Lead Officer for School Improvement will work in close partnership across North Lincolnshire Council services and collaboratively with headteachers, senior leaders, governors, and external agencies, including Ofsted and the Department for Education (DfE). The postholder will provide effective challenge and professional support to schools, promote robust self‑evaluation, and drive sustainable improvement in line with local and national expectations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong educational leadership, a secure understanding of accountability, school improvement, inspection experience, curriculum development, and assessment, and a firm commitment to safeguarding, equality, and the wellbeing of children and young people.
This is a key leadership role within the Children's and Families Service, contributing to strong partnership working, positive inspection outcomes, and continuous improvement across education standards and early years provision, ensuring high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences for all learners.
This is a Fixed Term Contract for 1 year starting August 2026.
