North Lincolnshire is a place with real character; shaped by industry, resilience and pride from our steel heritage to our market towns, rural communities and growing economy. It is a place with major opportunities in clean growth, energy and investment, a proud industrial base that is evolving, communities with identity, ambition and untapped potential, and a council determined to lead from the front.

We are redesigning how local government works, connecting planning, growth, operations, community investment and commercial into one integrated system built around neighbourhoods. This is about building a system that delivers outcomes for families, communities and businesses.

This role will lead the strategic development of community investment across the borough. You will oversee the Council's approach to grants, external funding, community investment programmes and assurance frameworks, ensuring funding delivers meaningful impact for residents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Council's strategy for external funding, grants and community investment.
  • Identify and secure new funding opportunities from government, national bodies and partners.
  • Develop strong partnerships with our community organisations.
  • Oversee grant programmes and ensure robust governance, compliance and assurance.
  • Strengthen the Council's impact measurement and reporting on community investment.
  • Support neighbourhood delivery through targeted investment programmes.

About you:

We are looking for a strategic leader who understands both funding systems and community impact. You will bring:

  • Experience securing and managing significant funding programmes.
  • Strong understanding of the community organisations.
  • Experience developing partnerships across public, private and community sectors.
  • Excellent governance and assurance capability.
  • Strategic leadership combined with delivery focus.

You will be passionate about communities and motivated by ensuring investment reaches the people and places that need it most. This is an opportunity to shape how investment flows into North Lincolnshire and how it delivers real change for residents.
