The Arboricultural & Local Nature Reserve Team are seeking a motivated and practical Community Operative to support our Arboricultural Team in maintaining trees, green spaces and the wider public realm across North Lincolnshire. This is a physically demanding, outdoor role where you will take pride in your local environment and play a key part in delivering safe, clean and well-maintained neighbourhoods. Working as part of a team, you will support arboricultural operations alongside general grounds and environmental maintenance duties.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting arboricultural staff with tree works, including tree care, pruning support and site preparation
  • Carrying out grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and weed control
  • Supporting seasonal works including planting, pruning and general horticultural maintenance
  • Erecting signs, barriers and traffic management where required
  • Safe operation of hand tools, light plant and equipment following pre-use checks
  • Driving light vehicles and transporting equipment between sites
  • Accurate completion of records including timesheets, inspections and task sheets
  • Participation in emergency call-outs
  • Working safely at all times in accordance with health and safety legislation
