It’s an exciting time to be part of our HR and Organisational Development Team. The council is on its transformation journey, and we are at the heart of enabling the organisation to achieve its outcomes and create the best employee experience at all stages of the employee lifecycle. We are seeking an experienced HR professional, with excellent up‑to‑date knowledge and understanding of the broad range of HR issues, to join our People Consultancy Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to managers with a range of casework including disciplinary, grievance, mutual respect at work, absence management, ill health retirement and performance management.
- Deliver investigative and analytical support to resolve employee relations issues.
- Advise managers and staff on employee relations processes and best practice.
- You will be an integral member of the team working to provide an excellent service to our customers.
Qualifications and Experience
- CIPD qualified, or with equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of employee relations processes.
- Excellent investigatory and analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge of employment law and best practice.
- Provide strategic and operational advice and guidance on a range of HR matters.
