Job Description:
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to support the coordination of Modern Day Slavery referrals for the Home Office, ‘Devolved Decision Making Pilot’ in North Lincolnshire.
This project will be achieved through leading on the effective implementation of Modern Day Slavery legislation and supporting decision-making about whether children are victims of modern slavery, in conjunction with local safeguarding partners, and supporting wider strategies around Child Exploitation, Modern Day Slavery, & Harm Outside the Home.
The National Referral Mechanism (NRM) is a framework for identifying and referring potential victims of modern slavery. The implementation of Modern Day Slavery legislation in 2015 provided guidance for local authorities and a ‘duty to notify’ children and young people identified as potential victims via the NRM Referral. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating National Referral Mechanisms and ensuring that the wider workforce has the skills and knowledge to refer appropriately when required.
The post is 18 hours 30 minutes per week on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2026.
