The predicted salary is between 35700 - 40100 £ per year.

We are seeking a Team Leader to provide day to day operational management of staff undertaking a range of Environmental Health and Housing functions. You will be educated to degree level in Environmental Health or another relevant subject or hold an accredited qualification in Environmental Health and a Certificate of Registration with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent.

You will have a demonstrable track record of motivating staff within a busy operational multi‑disciplinary team, excellent written and oral communication and numeracy skills and be able to provide effective oversight of legal documents and policies produced by the team. You will have a detailed practical knowledge of regulating private sector housing and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) or environmental crime and public health and be able to operate as the lead officer in one of these specialist areas of work.

Both Team Leaders will work collaboratively together across the Environmental Health & Housing function. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with sensitivity in a political environment with the ability to demonstrate personal authority, self‑confidence, tact and diplomacy to liaise effectively in potentially confrontational situations.
