You will be working with our in-house clinical and non-clinical team including close contact with our experienced GPs to support the delivery of the highest quality primary care service to our patients.
Location: South East London sites - including Penrose Surgery, SE17 3DW
Hours: Full Time (weekdays)
Salary: £22,485 - £24,000 FT depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient preparation, including blood pressure checks, urine dip tests, and phlebotomy (weekdays only)
- Check, sort, and action incoming lab results and hospital letters
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in EMIS
- Support GPs with drafting reports and processing referrals (including urgent 2-week wait referrals)
- Help manage the flow of medical reports and appointment follow-ups
- Provide excellent administrative support to both the clinical and nursing teams
- Liaise with patients by phone or online to assist with queries and appointments
What you’ll need:
- Experience in a healthcare setting or GP practice (preferred)
- Confident with EMIS and basic IT systems
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- A caring, patient-first attitude
- Phlebotomy training is an advantage, but we can support the right candidate to train
