Are you a qualified Swim Teacher looking for a new opportunity? As part of the Aquatics team, working across North Lanarkshire’s Swimming Pools, you will ensure the safe and effective operation of the swimming lesson programme, teach, and develop appropriate lessons for groups and individuals to meet the needs of each level within the Scottish Swimming’s Learn to Swim Framework.
With experience of working in a leisure facility/environment, you must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Scottish Swimming Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) Level 1
- Teachers qualification in swimming or equivalent
In addition, you must also have an understanding as well as experience of the health and safety requirements within the leisure industry. Equally important is your team player attitude as is your ability to work on your own initiative. Possession of excellent communication and customer care skills, as well as the ability to comply with the flexible hours associated with the programme are also essential.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
Work Location: Tryst Swimming Pool, Cumbernauld/John Smith Pool, Airdrie/Wishaw Sports Centre, Wishaw
You will be a supporting teacher for the Learn to Swim programme. Your main location will be at the core venue; however, you may be required to cover the local venue in the area when additional cover is needed.
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday 3.15pm to 6.15pm
