An exciting opportunity has arisen within Community Learning and Development (CLD) for a CLD Support Worker (Adult Learning) to support the operational development and delivery of Adult Learning in North Lanarkshire. As part of the Adult Learning and wider CLD teams, the post holder will ensure the delivery of community‑based adult learning and support for adults from disadvantaged communities across North Lanarkshire. The role involves working collaboratively with partner agencies, third sector organisations and volunteers to provide adult learning programmes, and monitoring and evaluating services through effective planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, delivering and assessing adult learning programmes in line with CLD objectives.
- Collaborating with partner agencies and volunteers to expand learning opportunities.
- Monitoring and evaluating service impact and reporting outcomes.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Relevant qualifications at SCQF level 5 or above.
- Previous experience of community‑based work with young people or adults.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Confidence to deliver a variety of learning programmes.
- Willingness to travel across North Lanarkshire.
Hours: 7 and 14 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including day and evening shifts. The CLD Support Worker will be line‑managed by a CLD Worker within the locality team. You will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
