Based within one of our Depots, you will be an integral part of the Operations team. You will be responsible to the Shift Leader (Land and Waste) for the day-to-day management of the Council’s Land and Waste function which includes Streetscene and Waste operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day programming, responsibility for equipment and materials and supervision of the daily duties and staff.
You must be educated to SVQ3, HNC, Apprenticeship level or equivalent in a relevant subject together with extended relevant experience. You will be customer focused with experience of working with the public and able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team. You must have the ability to prioritise workloads and effectively lead a team solving problems and using your initiative along the way to ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard. Supervisory experience is essential.
You will be an effective verbal and written communicator with excellent organisational and IT skills and must possess a full driving licence. An up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work is essential.
Work Pattern:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 07:15am to 17:00pm (30 mins unpaid break)
- Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 07:15am to 17:00pm (30 mins unpaid break)
