If this appeals to you an exciting opportunity has arisen working to join our Streetscene team, in each of our depots; Wardpark Depot, Cumbernauld, Garrell Road, Kilsyth, Souterhouse, Coatbridge, Lady Ann, Airdrie, Canyon Road Depot, Netherton and Bonkle Depot, Wishaw.

Working throughout the North Lanarkshire area, you will either work individually or as a member of a team responsible for the sweeping, collection and removal of litter, dirt, leaves and weeds etc. from public spaces. These duties will require the use and operation of the usual range of associated tools and equipment. You will be expected to work during all weathers and in all conditions.

You must have the ability to understand verbal and written communications, be able to undertake physical duties, be capable of the manual handling of heavy materials. You must also have an understanding of health and safety requirements. Experience of dealing with the public would be advantageous and some training in manual handling techniques is desirable. The job may also involve snow clearing and dealing with odorous and/or noxious material. You will require a satisfactory outcome to Hand Arm Vibration and Audiometric Testing.

Work pattern:

  • Week 1 - Monday - Thursday - 07:15am - 17:00pm (30 minute unpaid break)
  • Week 2 - Tuesday - Friday - 07:15am - 17:00pm (30 minute unpaid break)
  • Weekend pattern: Friday - Monday - 07:15am - 17:00pm (30 minute unpaid break)
