Based within our venues throughout North Lanarkshire, you will work within our Sports Development Team, working at various Leisure Centres throughout North Lanarkshire. The overall aim is to support and assist in the development and delivery of sports activity programmes throughout North Lanarkshire. The objectives are to improve the health and wellbeing of participants whilst encouraging positive attitudes towards physical activity and the community.
You must possess a relevant qualification in the appropriate sports or activity discipline and as part of a strong, established team of coaches, you will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering an appropriate range of sports activities. You will be a dynamic and experienced sports coach who will inspire young people to achieve their full potential and to deliver top quality sessions.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role. Posts available – Gymnastics x 1 post, Dance x 4 posts, Musical Theatre x 2 posts, Athletics x 1 and Football x 5 posts. Work patterns will be discussed further at interview stage.
