The predicted salary is between 50559 - 56329 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced professional to enhance the work of North Lanarkshire Adult Protection Committee and our partners in ensuring a skilled competent approach to supporting Adult Support and Protection in North Lanarkshire. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the adult protection context in Scotland and should have experience of adult protection practice. You will also understand the relevant legislation and guidance, policy development, planning and experience in delivering training.
You will work closely with multi-agency partners at both a local and national level. The Senior Officer post will involve new approaches to the design, development and delivery of learning and development in Adult Support and Protection and across the Public Protection agenda, ensuring compliance and implementation of relevant national guidance.
You must have a CQSW/DipSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent plus significant understanding and relevant experience in adult protection, policy, practice and improvements. You will also have a good current knowledge of adult protection services and a good understanding of the legislative framework, policies and emerging themes, as well as experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training and learning and development opportunities.
You will be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). In return we can offer you a positive professional working experience with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Please be aware these posts will undertake work across Various Locations in North Lanarkshire however you will be based within Dalziel Building, 7 Scott street Motherwell, ML1 1PN. You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role. This post will be temporary for a period of 18 months.
