We have an exciting opportunity to be involved in the planning and delivery of the council’s new supply programme which aims to deliver 6,000 new homes by 2035. As a Project Development Officer, you will join the New Supply team who work a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work in the Civic Centre, Motherwell. You will be involved in all aspects of housing development including site evaluation, consultations with stakeholders, acquisitions, demolition and construction of new build housing projects. You will be specifically involved in supporting the council’s new build programme, which is a key aspect of the council’s wider new supply programme and contributes towards delivery of its ambitious targets.

You should be educated to SVQ4/HND/Degree level or equivalent SCQF level 8/9 with significant relevant work experience in a housing / construction or planning environment. You should also have knowledge of the housing development process and experience in developing project briefs and/or policy & strategy development. Project management experience, managing budgets, and undertaking public consultations is also desirable.
