Responsibilities
- As part of the Aquatics team, working across North Lanarkshire's Swimming Pools, you will ensure the safe and effective operation of the swimming lesson programme.
- Teach and develop appropriate lessons for groups and individuals to meet the needs of each level within the Scottish Swimming's Learn to Swim Framework.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Scottish Swimming Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) Level 1 Teachers qualification in swimming or equivalent.
- Understanding of and experience with health and safety requirements within the leisure industry.
- Strong team player attitude with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Ability to comply with the flexible hours associated with the programme.
As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland. These are casual roles with no fixed hours or working pattern, but applicants should be willing to work daytime, evenings, weekends and public holidays and be willing to attend training sessions.
