Responsibilities
- Based within Housing Property Services in the Civic Centre, Motherwell, operationally responsible for assisting the Service Delivery Manager in the delivery of service areas including construction programmes of major refurbishment, new build programmes and a repairs and maintenance service, contract support and administration to support all the activities involved in the delivery of the works' programmes.
- Co-ordinate and support the needs of over 37,000 properties by working with partnering contractors. Lead on a range of construction and administration functions, including coordination of major refurbishment, new build, planned maintenance and repairs programmes, improvement works, support of capital programme delivery, cyclical asset surveys and coordination of associated works, void repairs, adaptations, legislative works coordination (including asbestos, energy and heating maintenance).
- Provide a full advisory service to client groups including tenants and home owners. Monitor contractor performance, manage and report on complex service enquiries and complaints, and support wider business improvement initiatives including deployment of mobile technologies across operations.
- Be operationally responsible for a range of regulated and legislative services and manage day-to-day resources including staff and administrative resources.
Qualifications and Experience
- SVQ3/HNC in a relevant discipline or equivalent trade/apprenticeship qualification and extended relevant experience, preferably in a housing maintenance or construction environment, including financial and personnel resource management.
- Experience of managing contractors and performance to achieve agreed objectives, service development, and staff supervision.
- A formal trade or technical background with appropriate qualifications/accreditations and experience of health and safety management and CDM is desirable.
Additional Requirements
- As a Service Delivery Co-ordinator, you will be required to participate in a rota to facilitate the out of hours' response service during evenings and weekends.
Work pattern:
- 35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
- Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
