The Housing Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring best value and compliance with current legislation, analysing data, managing performance, and developing community engagement initiatives that support the local housing services.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage data management systems and ensure compliance with Project Management principles
  • Prepare reports for the appropriate Board
  • Lead compliance with project management principles and performance monitoring
  • Develop and deliver digital housing services to meet the needs of local communities
  • Collaborate with partners to achieve key objectives and targets

Qualifications & Experience

  • Substantial experience in housing management and service development, preferably in a public sector environment
  • Track record of delivering performance improvement, managing budgets, and partnership working
  • Experience leading a multi‑disciplinary team
  • Diploma, Degree or SVQ4 level (SCQF Level 8) in a housing or social services field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Leadership/management qualification and risk management experience desirable

Requirements

  • Must hold a current UK driving licence
  • Participation in the Out of Hours Homeless Standby Service Escalation Officer roster (evening and weekend) is required; payments will be made in accordance with the SJC Salaries Agreement
  • 45‑minute unpaid lunch break each day

Work Pattern

  • 35 hours per week: Monday‑Thursday 8:00 am/8:45 am – 4:00 pm/16:45 pm; Friday 8:00 am/8:45 am – 15:45 pm/16:15 pm.

Salary & Benefits

  • £58,804 – £64,301 per year (contract level NLC14).
  • Benefits include 27 days annual leave, 6 public holidays, and a full package of learning and development opportunities.
