Are you customer focused and looking for the opportunity for work on an ad-hoc basis? We are seeking individuals with a keen interest in providing excellent customer service and support to our busy Visitor Support (reception) teams at Strathclyde Country Park. Shifts will be offered on an ad-hoc basis during peak periods and to support our busy events calendar.
In these customer facing roles, you will assist in the provision of a reception, administration and booking service. Representing the Council, you will require excellent customer service skills and previous reception experience would be advantageous.
You should be educated to a SVQ2, National Certificate, Higher grade or equivalent in a relevant subject such as office administration. You will have moderate office experience and an understanding of general office procedures including filling and data handling systems. It is desirable that you have a working knowledge of booking systems and previous experience of operating a cash register and of cash reconciliation.
You will possess good keyboard skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and databases. The post will involve dealing with members of the public therefore you should have good customer care skills; good organisational skills, be able to solve problems and work on your own initiative.
Whilst most shifts will be offered in Strathclyde Country Park you may be offered on occasion to work from our other Country Park, Drumpellier. These are casual roles with no fixed hours or working pattern with casual staff offered work on an ad-hoc basis. Shifts will typically include daytime, evening and weekend work.
North Lanarkshire Council are Happy to Talk Flexible Working, we operate a Smarter Working Policy. For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
