Responsibilities
- Assist the team with managing attendance and collate statistics, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support managers and employees where necessary and provide first line professional, consistent and timely advice on a range of general HR queries (e.g., terms and conditions of employment, policy application and procedures).
- Attend formal meetings where appropriate, including note taking at investigation meetings, and produce reports; analyse information and undertake research work.
Qualifications
- Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a business or administrative subject.
- Moderate experience of working in an HR environment with experience of interacting with the public and all levels of management within a large complex organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills and proven experience in a complex administration function where confidentiality is essential.
- Understanding of basic employment legislation; knowledge of HR policies, procedures, systems and processes; ability to support stakeholders and provide sensitive information to employees.
- Numerate and IT literate; excellent planning and analytical skills; good attention to detail; able to take formal notes and produce high quality correspondence.
- Team oriented, innovative and creative; able to build good working relationships and cope with a demanding workload while maintaining high standards of work.
Travel
You will be required to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire Council.
