As part of the management support team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Executive and the Corporate Management Team to fully realise this ambition, supporting the delivery of our newly refreshed Programme of Work aligned to The Plan for North Lanarkshire and assisting with the transformation of the council’s future operating model.

Reporting to a Management Support Officer, you will provide support to the Adult Health & Social Care, Education and Families, Enterprise and Communities and Chief Executives’ management teams. You will have the opportunity to get involved in providing professional online and in-person meeting support, general administrative support, supporting project teams and board meetings, diary management and responding to enquiries from elected members, MSPs, tenants and the communities of North Lanarkshire.

This is a rewarding role to support a busy team with opportunities to develop a career within management support as a Management Support Officer. You should have an SVQ3/HNC or equivalent qualification in a business-related discipline with relevant experience working in a business support or similar fast-paced environment. With a pro-active attitude to work and the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, you should have experience of working with managers at a senior level and be able to deal with all matters discreetly and confidentially.

You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work at the Civic Centre offices in Motherwell. This post is temporary ending on 30/07/2027.
