This vacancy is internal and open to applications from employees of North Lanarkshire Council and Associated Employers only. We are recruiting a Locality Leader to work within our Motherwell Locality Support Services. If successful, you will work closely with the Locality Manager to ensure delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred support and care packages for individuals with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities
- You will manage a team that provides support to vulnerable people within our local communities, ensuring the team feels supported and motivated to undertake their roles.
- You will be involved in a range of HR tasks including recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations matters and financial budget management arrangements.
Qualifications
- A SVQ Level 3/HNC in a relevant discipline is essential together with extended experience of working with people with disabilities.
- You should be an effective communicator with an understanding of policies, procedures and standards in relation to disability services and be able to promote and develop socially inclusive support arrangements.
- You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
Working Pattern
- Monday – Thursday: 08:45am – 16:45pm
- Friday: 08:45am – 16:15pm
- Your hours will be worked flexibly 5 days over 7. Evening and weekend working will form part of your normal working week.
Salary
NLC10: £43,043 – £49,231 Per Year (plus additional non-core hours payments)
