We are currently recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead our integrated day service team based in Coatbridge. This role involves co-ordinating day services and opportunities for older people in the community, helping to promote an environment which enables people to maximise their potential for independent living.

If successful, you will manage a team who are dedicated and focussed on delivering a fully integrated health and social care day service. To apply for this position, you should hold a professional qualification in social work or associated field i.e. Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, RGN, RMN, AHP or SVQ Level IV combined with significant experience of working with older people in a managerial role and supervisory experience are essential. A good knowledge of developing alternative community support options would be desirable.

We would especially welcome applications from people with a background working in both health and social work settings and can demonstrate they have knowledge and understanding of current local and national policies relating to the development and provision of services for older people. A formal management qualification, or the commitment to work towards one is a requirement of this post.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role and you must be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). This post is temporary for twelve months.
