North Lanarkshire Council is leading an exciting and ambitious regeneration programme for its town centres and surrounding areas as part of its plans for inclusive economic growth. Working with a variety of partners, the Enterprise and Communities service has a key role in guiding this regeneration towards sustainable development. We are committed to creating prosperity and making North Lanarkshire a great place to live, learn, work, invest and visit.
North Lanarkshire is the largest local authority social landlord in Scotland with approximately 36,000 council houses. Within the Housing service there are four locality offices covering Airdrie/Cumbernauld, Coatbridge/Kilsyth, Bellshill/Motherwell and Wishaw/Shotts with our Rents team located in Viewpark and Housing Headquarters located in Motherwell.
As a Housing Service Manager within the Public Protection Team, you will lead work that helps keep North Lanarkshire’s communities safe and supported. You’ll work closely with partner agencies to manage and support individuals involved in arrangements such as MAPPA, Justice Throughcare, MARAC/MATAC, and hospital discharges for restricted patients.
You’ll make sure Housing meets all legal and partnership responsibilities, including those related to housing legislation, information sharing, GDPR, and Adult and Child Protection. This is a busy and fast‑paced role, where you’ll need to balance priorities, manage risk, and ensure effective services for tenants and service users.
Your work will support homeless prevention, tenancy sustainment, and safe community reintegration across our social housing stock.
The CIH Level 4 Diploma (pre-2016) or CIH Level 5 Diploma in Housing or SVQ4 Social Services is required.
