Business Development and Support
Housing Planning Assistant (35 hours) (Permanent) NLC6 £27,301 - £29,180
Enterprise and Communities has designed its services to deliver the council's priority outcomes and meet the changing needs of our communities. As the 4th largest authority in Scotland and the largest local authority landlord, we are used to delivering a highly responsive service to our tenants and customers. We want to do more and have hugely ambitious plans to regenerate our communities, build new homes, develop Smarter Homes, create employment, attract investment to North Lanarkshire, prevent homelessness and sustain tenancies.
We know that successful service delivery requires an integrated approach to business analysis, performance management, strategic development, business planning, business system development and customer engagement and as a Housing Planning Assistant you will be an integral part of developing these services.
Working on our hybrid model based between home and the Civic Centre, Motherwell, you will join our Housing Strategy team within the wider Business Development and Support team and will be responsible for research, development, collation and maintenance of statistical information, area and housing market profiling, co-ordination of information for tenants and other stakeholders and assisting with returns to the Scottish Government.
You should be educated to Standard Grade level or equivalent with moderate experience gained in a housing or related environment. A good working knowledge of IT systems, good organisational skills and previous experience of collation and management of information are also essential. An HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Administration or Housing or equivalent is desirable. Previous experience of using ArcGIS and knowledge of Scottish Government Housing Statistical Returns are also desirable.
