An exciting opportunity has arisen within Community Learning and Development (CLD) for a Community Learning and Development Worker to support the operational development of the Adult Learning and Resettlement Programme. Funded by Resettlement funding, the post holder will ensure the development and delivery of community-based learning and support for resettled communities across North Lanarkshire through delivery and the management of support worker staff.
This involves working collaboratively with partner agencies, third sector and volunteers to support learning, relocation and integration for resettled young people, families and adults, with a focus on ESOL, employability and literacy and numeracy (ALN). The post holder will also monitor and evaluate services provided through effective planning and contribute to the reporting requirements and the wider evaluation of the CLD programmes.
An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have considerable experience working with young people, families and adults within a community setting. You will be knowledgeable and have a good understanding of current national and local developments in working with vulnerable adults with a particular emphasis on current adult learning policy and objectives.
The successful candidate will have experience of collaborative working with a variety of agencies as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. You must have a CLD Standards Council approved professional qualification in Community Learning.
