As a Support Assistant within the Contracts & Finance Team, you will provide clerical and admin support with responsibility for:

  • Processing invoices
  • Ordering Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment and software
  • Checking information for input into various ICT and financial systems
  • Preparing performance information
  • Other general clerical duties

You should have literacy and numeracy skills and ideally be educated to National 5 level or equivalent. You will be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 computer packages and have moderate experience of working within a clerical/administrative environment. Self-motivated, you should have the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.

Working within the Contracts & Finance Team for North Lanarkshire Council, you will have the flexibility of our hybrid work model, blending homeworking with time spent at our Civic Centre and Civic Square offices in Motherwell.

Work pattern: 35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break); Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break).
